About Us


Greencan Institute of Bakery & Culinary arts is a venture of Greencan Industries established in the year 2016. We offer Professional program, Advance Course, Weakend Baker course in the field of bakery and culinary arts. GIBCA is affiliated with the AIITE, All India Institute of Training and Education and International vocational training (City & Guilds, U.K) and offer internationally recognised certificate of competency. Our co-operate partnership enable our students to work as apprentices and trainees in hotels and fine dining restaurants as part of their training and experience real work situation. We aim not only to train students but to ensure they are eventually place in reputable organisation both in India and overseas.

Campus


GIBCA is located at the heart of the City, Wahengbam Leikai, Imphal West. Public transportation and hostel facilities are easily available. It has been designed in consultation with our international partners and to their exacting standards. The facilities include a fully functional commercial teaching kitchen with all the necessary equipment and the finest infrastructure classroom for students.

Faculty


One of the aspects that set us apart is the quality of our faculty. They have to pass through our rigorous screening process by our international partners prior to their recruitment. They are then required to complete their international qualification and training before they are allowed to teach our courses. This is all taken online and face to face by representative of our international partners. The faculty is also made to participate in refresher programme in the specific subjects so that they may be abreast with the latest industry development in their respective fields.

International Baker's Advance Course in BAKERY & CULINARY ARTS

Advance course is for candidates who want to specialize in Baking and Patisserie with our designed module. The course will guide the students through the principles of baking and patisserie and how to work in a professional kitchen environment. The course is equally divided into practical and theory and number of dishes are learned and prepared. Students are also taught aspects of modern cookery including hygiene and safety. Candidate will be required to display both practical skills and associated knowledge in order to complete the assessment. All Diploma candidates will receive a globally recognized certificate issued by London based City & Guilds and a certificate by AIITE.

OPPORTUNITIES:
On completion of this qualification, candidates can start a career in baking industry or may enrol to the following qualification.

  • Diploma in Food preparation and Cooking Patisserie (8065-03) by City & Guilds U.K. and certificate by AIITE

Weekend Bakery course is for candidates who want to specialize in Baking but who are busy in week day but off in weekend. So, we designed our module. The course will guide the students to develop skills in various baking procedure, learn various kind of ingredients used in baking. The main emphasis of the course is to provide the students with extensive bakery knowledge, practical training and educational module to give the quality skills of baking.

OPPORTUNITIES:
On completion of this qualification, candidates may progress into employment by working at the reputed star hotels or may set up their own business and become their own boss.

A Professional Program in Patisserie is a program we designed with comprehensive training that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the art of French pastry-making. We give hands-on training and practice in a professional kitchen.
